Our Story

image268

It was the fall of 2016 as we set up our first date through a dating website. We had spoken numerous times over the phone and through text messaging, but now it was time to finally do a face to face. The place was a quaint Irish pub called Keegan’s in the Atlanta area called Vinings. We chose to sit at the far end of the bar where we proceeded to sit for hours and talk, laugh and “gaze into each other’s eyes.“ Little did we realize the amazing journey we were about to embark upon. Through our ups and downs we learned more about each other and grew into love. Now we’re ready to start a new chapter in our lives and are so happy to celebrate it with you!

The Proposal

Chris and I enjoyed listening to Country Rock music. Chris, being the romantic person that he is, would walk into a room with his phone in hand and play one of our songs. In the beginning of our relationship, he would play “There’s a Girl,” by Trent Harmon. As songs move along with time, we found a new song that we both enjoyed. It’s a ballad called, “The Greatest Love Story,” by Lancon. Now this was the song Chris played at various times of the day. At the end of this song the guy ask the girl to marry him in a sweet and romantic way. One evening Chris played the song and looked at me with his bright blue eyes and said, “Well?” I just said, “Well, you haven’t asked me yet.” (Chris is not the getting-down-on-one-knee type of fella.) He just repeated his, ”Well?” and I finally got it! I quickly replied, ”Oh my gosh! YES, YES, YES!!!” The rest is history!
